Project description
We are happy to share that Skawen has successfully completed a renovation project at Château d'Urspelt in Luxembourg.
Located in the village of Urspelt, this 19th-century castle is a well-preserved historical site that has been carefully restored to function as a hotel and event venue, providing modern amenities while honoring its rich past.
Skawen was tasked with supplying a SKW2 Pool unit for the castle's recreation center. The unit was designed to dehumidify three pools and a jacuzzi area, a critical component in maintaining the ideal environment for guests.
The constraints of the technical room presented a unique challenge: the SKW2 Pool unit was too large to fit as a single entity. We engineered a solution by dividing the machine into two separate parts. This decision facilitated installation without compromising on the machine's full functionality and performance.
Château d'Urspelt's combination of historical significance and contemporary use made this project particularly noteworthy. It required a balance of respecting the integrity of the site while introducing modern technology.
The full technical details of this project, are available in the attached PDF document.
We invite you to explore the specifics of this distinctive renovation project that embodies our ethos of combining tradition with modern engineering solutions.
