Project description

In 2023, a beautiful home in Erlaufsee, Mitterbach, Austria, underwent a full renovation. The highlight of this project was the addition of a private indoor swimming pool, bringing a modern touch to the weekend house of Mr. Bertagnoli.

To ensure optimal air quality and humidity control, a SKW Compact ventilation unit was installed. This system, with a capacity of 1,200 m³/h, is designed to maintain the perfect environment for the pool area. Equipped with a heat pump, it efficiently heats the space during winter and adjusts airflow to match usage needs. When the house is empty, the unit operates at a lower speed to protect against moisture but ramps up when the pool is in use.

The system can be managed remotely via a building management system, offering both comfort and peace of mind for the homeowner.

This project showcases the importance of smart, flexible ventilation systems in home renovations, especially for unique spaces like indoor pools.
